| Bucklands Beach Intermediate offers a large range of artistic/ cultural activities for students ranging from Kapa Haka to Korean Fan Dance to orchestra. Below is some details on some of the things students can get involved with. |

| Orchestra |
| A very musical group of students meet every week to practise.
The school orchestra is made up of around fifty players and
every instrumental family is represented. A variety of music is covered - from classical to modern
and the orchestra performs at the local festival, Macleans College, school concerts, community functions and the annual Intermediate Bands and Orchestra Festival. |

| Choir |
| A large mixed choir of approximately 100 singers learn a
variety of songs for the local festivals, concerts, community projects and other functions.
Practices are held two days out of six and are taken by two teachers. |

| Dance Troupes |
| Two auditioned groups of dancers meet each week to practise new routines. They perform each year at the local Dance Festival and at other community concerts. |
| |
| Art Extension |
| Students who show talent and enthusiasm in visual art apply for selection in this group.
The students work on various projects around the school including murals and artwork for school walls.
Students also have some time to work on projects that assist their personal development. |

| Kapa Haka |
| A strong kapahaka group meets weekly under the guidance of a teacher and a community helper, and learn Maori song/dances.
This group has welcomed guests, performed at functions and participated in community festivals and celebrations. In 2007 BBI hosted the Koanga Spring Festival. |

| Korean Fan Dance |
| A large group of students learnt traditional Korean Fan dancing from a community instructor. They performed at school events, Pakuranga Summer Festival and the school revue, and entertained members of the public at community events. |
| |
| Production |
| Every second year a (traditionally musical) production is put on by the school which students can audition to be part of. This develops and showcases the range of acting, singing and dance talent in the school and is always a high quality performance to watch. In 2007 the production was Henry, a light hearted look at the life of Henry VIII. |
